# Set Up Your HP Printer Using 123.hp.com/setup

> Use 123.hp.com/setup to download the HP Smart app or full driver software, create an HP account, and complete your printer setup on Windows, macOS, iOS, or Android.

You can set up most HP printers by visiting [123.hp.com/setup](https://123.hp.com) on your computer or phone. The site identifies the right software for your model and walks you through installing the HP Smart app or full drivers, signing in, and adding your printer.

**1. Open 123.hp.com/setup**

On the computer or phone you want to print from, open a web browser and go to [123.hp.com/setup](https://123.hp.com). Make sure the address shows the genuine HP domain before you proceed.

**2. Enter or select your printer model**

Type your printer model (for example, "HP DeskJet 2700" or "HP ENVY 6000") and select it from the list. If you are not sure of the exact model, check the label on the front or top of the printer.

**3. Download the recommended software**

The site will suggest the HP Smart app or the full driver software package for your operating system. Click the download button and wait for the installer to finish.

**4. Install and open the software**

Run the downloaded file and follow the on-screen prompts to install. When installation finishes, open the HP Smart app.

**5. Sign in or create an HP account**

If you already have an HP account, sign in. If not, create one with your email address and a password. This account lets you manage your printer, ink supplies, and support from one place.

**6. Add your printer and finish setup**

In HP Smart, tap or click **Add Printer**, then follow the guided steps to connect your printer to Wi-Fi and complete setup.

> **iOS (iPhone or iPad)**

> Download HP Smart from the App Store. Open the app, sign in or create an HP account, tap **Add Printer**, and follow the prompts. Keep your device near the printer during setup.

> **Android**

> Download HP Smart from the Google Play Store. Open the app, sign in or create an HP account, tap **Add Printer**, and follow the prompts. Keep your device near the printer during setup.

> Only use the genuine [123.hp.com](https://123.hp.com) website and the official HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store, Mac App Store, App Store, or Google Play Store. Be cautious of lookalike sites or third-party results that ask for payment, remote access to your computer, or personal information. HP does not charge to download setup software.
